Influenza is a viral infection which can affect anyone. Influenza is most common during the winter season, and the 21/22 season is expected to be especially hard in terms of influenza.

Vaccination period
The group which has been selected for a free influenza vaccination can be vaccinated starting from 1 Oct 2021 until and including 14 Jan 2022. If you are 65 or above, pregnant in the second or third trimester, are suffering from a chronic disease or are at particular risk in some other way, you are eligible for a free influenza vaccination.

Furthermore, the recommendation of the Danish Health Authority this year is that healthcare professionals and nursing staff, as well as children between the ages of 2 and 6, should all be vaccinated against influenza.

Starting from 22 Oct 2021, you can be vaccinated at a cost if you fall outside of the categories mentioned above.
